Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains how the SyftOS marketing website operated by Techshift Digital Ltd uses cookies and similar storage technologies. It complements our Privacy Policy. It is written with reference to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, and the UK GDPR.
The short version
We keep this site deliberately light. We use no advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies. We self-host our fonts (so your browser makes no third-party font requests). We do use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used, but only if you accept. When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice, and Google Analytics is not loaded and sets no cookies unless you click "Accept". You can change your mind at any time using the button below (or in the footer of any page).
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website can store on your device; "similar technologies" include things like local storage. The law (PECR) requires your consent before storing or reading anything on your device that is not strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.
What we use
- Strictly necessary. If you submit our contact form, a temporary session/security (anti-CSRF) cookie may be used purely to make that form work and protect it from abuse. These are exempt from the consent requirement because they are essential to a service you have explicitly requested.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — consent-based. We use Google Analytics (measurement id
G-Z89GE78MH9) to measure, in aggregate, how the site is used: which pages are popular, roughly where visitors come from, and whether the site is working. It is loaded only after you accept the cookie banner; if you decline, the script never runs and no analytics cookies are set. We have configured it to be as privacy-respecting as we can: we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build cross-site profiles of you.
Google Analytics, in detail
Google Analytics is provided by Google. When it runs, it sets first-party cookies in your browser so that it can tell returning visits apart and avoid double-counting. The main ones are:
_ga— distinguishes one visitor from another. Typically expires after 2 years.-
_ga_<container-id>(for example_ga_Z89GE78MH9) — used by Google Analytics 4 to persist session state. Typically expires after 2 years.
The data these cookies enable is processed by Google as part of providing the analytics service, and may be processed outside the UK under the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it to target advertising.
Changing your choice, or opting out
You are in control. You can withdraw or change your consent, or block analytics entirely, in any of these ways:
- Use our cookie settings. Open the banner (here or in the footer of any page) and choose Decline. We remember your choice on this device, and declining stops Google Analytics loading on future visits.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you block or remove cookies for this site in its settings. The site will continue to work normally without them.
- Use Google's opt-out browser add-on. Google provides a free add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on any site you visit, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Enable "Do Not Track" or a privacy extension. Tracker-blocking browser extensions will also stop the Google Analytics script loading.
What we do not use
- No advertising, retargeting or attribution cookies.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
- No use of analytics data to build a profile of you across other websites.
- No third-party fonts or embeds that set cookies.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will continue to work, though a blocked security cookie could prevent the contact form from submitting, and blocking analytics cookies simply means your visit is not counted in our aggregate statistics.
If this changes
If we ever introduce additional non-essential cookies or storage, for example advertising or marketing tools, we will update this policy and bring them under the same consent banner before they run.
