SyftOS — Powered by Techshift — is built by Techshift Digital, a UK software agency. We built it because we wanted a properly governed way to put digital workers to work: specialist workers that do real work across the tools you already use, with a human approving anything that changes the outside world.

For two decades, software meant another tool for your team to drive. AI changes what is possible. But dropping an autonomous bot into your business is a non-starter for any serious organisation. One wrong email, one careless refund, one post to the wrong channel, and the experiment is over.
So we built the missing layer: a control plane where digital workers do the work, and people approve anything that touches the outside world. The advantage was never the model. It is the integrations, the business-process expertise, and the governance wrapped around every action.
Outcomes over software
Businesses do not want more AI or more dashboards. They want work done. We build for the outcome, a workflow that runs and a department that earns its place, not the demo.
Human accountability
A digital workforce only earns its place under human oversight. Anything that touches the outside world waits for a named person to approve it. People stay accountable for what actually happens, always.
Earn trust with evidence
Every action is approved and recorded on an append-only, tamper-evident trail you can verify and export. We would rather show the record than ask you to take our word for it.
Governance is the moat, not the model
The prevailing assumption is that the best AI product is the one with the best model. We are built on the opposite conviction: businesses do not want AI, they want outcomes they can trust.
Models commoditise
Foundation models are improving and converging fast. Any one of them can be swapped behind an abstraction in an afternoon. We treat the model as replaceable configuration and invest entirely in the control plane around it.
Governance does not
What does not commoditise is the hard, unglamorous layer: human approval by default, a tamper-evident audit trail, earned autonomy, multi-tenant isolation and deep integrations. As agents grow more capable, the value of being able to govern them rises, not falls.
Departments, not tokens
The unit of value is a working department, not an agent you have to build, and never tokens, runs or actions. You deploy digital departments and digital workers, and they get on with a repeatable process.
